The Police in Rivers State says it is yet to confirm the murder of the former supervisory councillor of Obio Akpor Local Government Area late Mr Kinikanwo Amadi who was reportedly stabbed to death in his home. Unconfirmed reports allege that the stab wounds which led to his death were inflicted by his wife following suspicion of infidelity.Sisi Port Harcourt cannot confirm this.
Police public relations officer Nnamdi Omoni said no one has yet reported the matter yet to the police
Meanwhile, leader of Obio Akpor legislative Assembly Douglas Stephen who confirmed the killing urged the police to commence investigation into the matter.
He said the late Kinikanwo Amadi was murdered in his house in Nkpolu Rumuigbo under circumstances yet to be confirmed.
