He is calm, unassuming and soft-spoken. He even looks lean and weak. That is the persona of the man you will never associate with moving heavy stuff. He does.
The man Igonibi, which sounds cool pronounced with an emphatic Igoni-B, will surprise anyone who sees him working the big canal along the New Okumgba Girls Road at ATC,Okrika. Shovel in hand and donning a pair of long work boots, Igonibi clears the gutters for free flow.
It is not usual to see one man doing so much of work of de-silting the big drainage which channels rain water from the island into the sea. More so, he works the long hours needed to clear the drains, alone.
It is likely that Igonibi does the drain on hire but he does is commendably well.
With some mechanical devices and waste disposal equipment, Igoni-B will surely go places and the filthy parts of Okrika will be the better for it.
